MOTHER’S DAY 2013

Mother’s Day around here is very busy, at least for the men. We started early this morning with James Blair at 7am, cleaning and wrapping the potatoes for baking. Then to DQ with Billy, Trish and Leah Shifflett. After breakfast, then to the best donut shop in town, Donut Supreme on 16, to get some sweets for fellowship in between SS and worship. Rush back to the church, deliver donuts ect. unlock all the doors for jr. church, nursery and main auditorium, turn on the A/C and lights, then back to the big fellowship hall to check on the men. They are a GREAT bunch to worship and work with, our cook,David McBride, was there setting up the grill for the steaks.

The day was  an absolute blessing,  we had 14 first time visitors, and several repeat visitors.  The members went all out inviting people to come, thanks everyone you all did a great job.

The message was titled THE PERFECT MOTHER’S DAY GIFT! The alters were full as God did His work on our hearts. If you missed this years celebration, there will be another one next MOTHERS DAY,

MOTHER’S DAY @ MORNINGSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH 2013

I can’t believe that it is May  already, and Mother’s Day is this Sunday.   This year we will continue our Mother,s Day steak dinner and dessert.

Our ladies really enjoy this meal and time of fellowship. The men will do all the cooking and fix’n , the ladies will be seated, and waited on by the men. These ladies really enjoy bossing around the men, needing more tea or coffee, napkins, just whatever they can think of to keep them moving.

Afterwords, the men will do all the clean-up!  This is a lot of fun for all.  Everyone is invited to the services and dinner.

hope to see a lot of friends and family there.

MEN’S ADVANCE, STILLWATER OKLAHOMA

We had 6 men  this year that went to the MEN’S ADVANCE. The theme was the self-deceived man, a look  at the life of Samson. It was GREAT!!!

each one of us came home with a new way to look at ourselves to see if we were being deceived by our own ideas.  I would highly recommend men from any church no matter their maturity level in the lord, It was a great boost to our men and the church.
